Schedule B is used for exports FROM the US, while HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) is used for imports INTO the US. Both codes share the same first 6 digits (HS code - the international standard), but differ in the remaining digits. Use Schedule B codes when shipping products out of the United States for export documentation and Census Bureau reporting.
